Agreement
Once you have selected your preferred date, The Meritage Resort  will issue an Agreement for Catering Facilities. We require
that a signed, original copy of the Contract and the non-refundable
deposit be returned by the date indicated on your contract to secure
the date.

Deposits

The first deposit and signed catering agreement confirm your event date and time (the first deposit will vary depending on the size of your event). All deposits are non-refundable and will be applied to the final balance of your event. Should you need to change the date of your event, please inquire with your wedding planner.
Pricing, Deposit & Payment
We look forward to helping you design wedding package that suits your individual needs. A food and beverage minimum, excluding service charge and sales tax, and facility fee will apply. These charges will be determined at the time of booking along with a schedule of deposits. And estimated breakdown of charges will be prepared. 100% of the estimate is due 30 days prior to your event. The balance of all estimated charges will be due fourteen (14) days post your event. A credit card is required to cover all unforeseen charges.

Guarantees

The expected number of guest must be communicated to The Meritage Resort Catering Department a minimum of seven (7) days prior to the event. This number will be considered a guarantee and is not subject to reduction. If we do not receive a guarantee within this period, the number of guest stated on the catering contract will be considered a guarantee and charges will be assessed accordingly. Your final bill will be charged for your actual attendance of guaranteed guest count, whichever is greater. Additionally, the resort will select appropriate space for your event, based on your attendance and setup requirements. Should the factors change through the course of your planning, your event locations will also be subject to change. Contact your wedding planner prior to printing event locations in an agenda or invitation.

Cancellations

Functions cancelled after deposit(s) are received will forfeit the entire amount of the deposit(s). Functions cancelled less then sixty (60) days prior to the scheduled function will be charged the full price of the planned meals, rental equipment and facility fee. Should cancellation take place before menu prices are finalized, damages will be based on the average check for this type of event. The Meritage Resort must receive all cancellations in writing. No telephone cancellations will be accepted or considered valid.

Alcoholic Beverage Policy

The sale and service of all alcoholic beverages is regulated by the California State Liquor Commission. The Meritage Resort at Napa is responsible for the administration of the regulations; therefore, it is our policy that no alcoholic beverage(s) are brought into your private event.

Damages

The Meritage Resort reserves the right to inspect and control all private events. Liability for damages to the premises will be charged accordingly. The host of the function is held responsible for personal property or equipment brought into the function area. Our wedding planner will be pleased to answer your questions.

Service Charge & State Sales Tax

All food, beverage and audio-visual prices are subject to a 20% service charge and 7.75% sales tax.

Guest Room Reservations

Should you require room arrangements for out of town guests, accommodations may be reserved based on a minimum of ten (10) rooms. Please consult your wedding planner as soon as possible, as rooms and rates are subject to availability. Check in is at 4:00 p.m. and check out is at 12:00 p.m.
