• Guests receive a complimentary bottle of wine at check-in.
• Meritage (rhymes with heritage) is a name coined by American wine producers to describe high-quality blended wines made in the style of Bordeaux wines. The name combines merit with heritage.
• Officially opened July 11, 2006, the resort hosted a special, invitation-only wine auction of Meritage blended wines with proceeds dedicated to Napa’s needy.
• Both resorts commissioned local visual artists to develop original artwork displayed in public spaces.
• Together, through local hospitality taxes, both resorts are expected to generate one million dollars in annual revenue for the City of Napa.
• The resort opened an immense cave of 20,000 square feet in Spring 2007, carved in the hillside under Napa’s famous Grape Crusher statue, it includes a lavish wine cave and Spa Terra, the first known underground spa in the world.
• In early 2007, Vino Bello will open 60 additional vacation ownership suites.
