Giornale Meritage NewsletterThe Meritage Scores Wine Spectator AwardThe great news is in. The Meritage is adding a 2009 Wine Spectator Award to our trophy case. Wine Spectator, famous for educating and entertaining wine lovers and epicureans, has recognized the Siena restaurant at the Meritage for the excellent wine list. The publication is renowned for in-depth wine tasting reports, buying guides, travel and fine dining features, chefs' menus, personality profiles and thought-provoking editorial. Wine Spectator ranks No.1 among consumer and business publications according to Luxury Institute's 2008 survey. Each year the Wine Spectator honors the best of the best in the wine industry, which lands The Meritage on top. Siena is the signature restaurant at The Meritage which features a menu gathered from California’s finest ingredients inspired by Tuscany. Each serving at Siena is prepared fresh from local organic farms with farm-raised beef, artisan cheeses and more. Napa’s earthy temperate climate very much echoes that of Tuscany—abundantly rich with the kind of fertile soil conducive to creating the characteristic cuisine of Italy. Nothing compliments the menu better than the extensive Siena wine list which offers a glass to pair perfectly with any meal. In addition to the award, Siena was highlighted in the August 31st issue which includes the annual Wine Spectator dining guide. The information will also be in the spotlight on winespectator.com which receives over 1 million visitors each month. Come raise a glass and help celebrate our success!
